Round numbers between $20,000 and $40,000 per week depending on the season. In addition to the charter fee, you should count on approximately $2,500 for provisions (food & drink). The Poseidon's Pearl has the best crew in the BVI. Wind Voyager recommends 15% - 20% tip based on the charter fee for the outstanding crew.
Where do we board the Poseidon's Pearl?
Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands
How do I get to Tortola?
Major airlines fly to St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands and San Juan, Puerto Rico.

From San Juan to Tortola you can either take a commuter flight (45 minutes) or charter a flight (25 minutes). Local cabs are plentiful in St. Thomas and Tortola for land transportation to/from ports. No cabs needed in San Juan.
How many crew are on board the Poseidon's Pearl?
Three: Captain Leon, Chef Roma and Hostess Wendy.
How many guests can sail on the Poseidon's Pearl?
There are five guest suites. Four have queen size beds and one has two twins (that can be converted into a queen) As a result, the Poseidon's Pearl comfortably can have ten guests.
What are the meals like?
Chef Roma's meals are extraodinary. She will tailor meals for your palate. She recongnizes that adults and children will have different tastes and will accomodate both. Generally meals are served on the stern (back) deck. Each meal can be as gourmet or simple as you choose. However, Wind Voyager recommends that you let Chef Roma do her thing. You won't regret it!
Do I have to share a bathroom?
No, each suite has it's own fresh water bathroom and shower. There is also a fresh water shower on the stern to rinse yourself when boarding from the ocean. The stern shower also has body wash, shampoo and conditioner for those who desire to clean up imediately upon boarding from the ocean.
What clothes should I bring?
Almost EVERYONE over packs. Men/boys: literally need a couple of swimsuits, a couple of shorts and five to seven t-shirts. Women/girls: Wind Voyager would recommend the same. There is plenty of closet and drawer space in each suite. SHOES ARE NOT ALLOWED to be worn on the Poseidon's Pearl. Flip flops are perfect for port landings and sneakers are recommended for BVI hikes. The warm Caribbean breeze creates a great drying machine for any clothes that need cleaning. No restaurants in the BVI require dressing up, as such there is literally no need to bring a dress jacket or slacks (unless you want to have your own dress up night). Depending on the season you travel, you might want to bring one long sleeve light jacket.
Is the ocean rough? Will I get sea sick?
Captain Leon will find the smoothest path when sailing. The pass from Virgin Gorda to Anegada is probably the roughest with swells of three feet, so not bad at all. We HIGHLY recommend that you sit on the bow (front) chairs when in the waves, but HOLD ON - super fun! If you are suseptible to motion sickness, Wind Voyager recommends that you bring your medicine. For a natural option, try ginger. Our experience that after the first hour or so, your body will adjust. At night, the crew will tie up in a flat water cove.
What are the activities aboard the Poseidon's Pearl?
You can be as active as you choose. Wind Voyager highly recommends: scuba diving and/or snorkeling as ALL the crew are licensed and certified master divers - this is a unique advantage to the Poseidon's Pearl. Hiking, stand up paddleboarding, sea kayaking, fishing, water skiing, wake boarding and rafting are all available. If the charter is a designated kiteboard trip, then Captain Leon will bring the kite gear and position the Poseidon's Pearl in the best spots in the BVI.
Is there electricity onboard and what kind of plugs does the Poseidon's Pearl have?
There are plenty of electrical plugs onboard, including several in each suite. Standard USA 110V plugs.
Is there cell service and WiFi onboard the Poseidon's Pearl?
There is cell service in virtually all of the BVI and the Poseidon's Pearl does have WiFi.
Do I have to disembark in Tortola?
No, you may arrange with the Captain to let you off at any major marina. Wind Voyager recommends that should your vacation allow, you should stay at The Bitter End Yacht Club on Virgin Gorda for a few days after your time on the Poseidon's Pearl. You would then need to secure transportation from Virgin Gorda back to St. Thomas or San Juan.
How does the sailing itenerary work?
The crew will work with you several months prior to your charter to determine the best itenerary for your personal interests. At anytime, the itenerary can be changed, that's the beauty of the Poseidon's Pearl.
