Introducing the Poseidon's Pearl
About two years ago, a buddy of mine invited me on a guy's trip aboard the Cabrinha Quest, a catamaran dedicated to finding the best waves and wind in the WORLD. I had never been kiteboarding, I can't surf, nor had I ever spent the night onboard a sail boat. Honestly, I was a little apprehensive. At the time, the Cabrinha Quest was in the islands in and around Tahiti and Bora Bora. I had traveled the world with this buddy and he had never steered me wrong. The time I spent aboard the Cabrinha Quest changed me. The solitude aboard, the control of destination, the sites seen combined with the commaraderie. I fell in love with life onboard. I felt guilty towards my friends and family who hadn't experienced the sails. But I did nothing about it.
Fast forward a year. Same buddy asked me to go on the same Cabrinha Quest. This time, she was in the Patagonia region of Chile. The Life of Walter Mitty demanded that I go. Glaciers, icebergs, glorious mountains surrounded us. We were isolated from humanity just 400 miles north of Antartica. Attempting to kiteboard in fifty degree water was exhilirating. I was hooked. I became determined to share the experience of the sailing life onboard.
So I did it, the unthinkable - I bought a catamaran. She's a Leopard 58', luxury through and through. My goal: to share that special feeling of life onboard. Real Watersports out of Cape Hatteras, the best kiteboarding training center in the US, helped secure top of the line kiteboarding gear for all skill levels and wind conditions. Her crew are all certified master divers, so SCUBA is a must. Add her SUPs, kayaks, fishing equipment and access to the exceptional BVI's hiking trails - life onboard is well, worth sharing.
My kid's came up with the name. Not often that they all agree, so it was a no brainer. Wind Voyager, LLC, creator of "grid shattering adventures" proudly introduces the Poseidon's Pearl.
